An inlet valve fills the drum with water, and a heater warms it for the selected programme. The motor turns the drum back and forth so detergent can work through the fabric. When the wash is done, the drain pump empties the water and the motor spins the drum at high speed to remove moisture. A pressure switch tracks the water level, a door lock keeps it shut, and the control board manages each stage.
